Still, there are some things that I do every day to make sure that I'm covering my nutritional bases:
- Green smoothies almost every day. This provides a big chunk of my recommended daily intake of fruits and veggies. If you don't know what a green smoothie is, check out my blog entries on it. Here and here (for part 2).
- Personally, I do take a multivitamin every day. I know that there is much debate out there over the effectiveness of this... but I figure it's not hurting me and there might actually be some advantages to be gained. Always take vitamins with food. They can be hard on your stomach and they are better absorbed with food. I also take calcium every day... after all I'm a girl!
- I've learned a lot about the foods I eat. No, I don't stay away from all the overly refined and processed foods like I should, but I still try to be aware... we eat more whole grains than we ever used to and try to stick to healthier fat options.
